Sackadactyl and I have been managing the Wow Web Stats (WWS) and Wow Meter Online (WMO) uploads for the past few weeks but have been very unimpressed with the way both sites have been performing. As such, we have decided to use a new website which has proven to be far superior in many aspects over both of the aforementioned websites. This new website is called World of Logs. The main feature that I particularly enjoy is that you can upload the data to the website real-time, meaning while the client is running you can start logging combat in-game and as the data is gathered it will update it to the website as soon as you drop combat. The site also has graphs much like the addon Recount does which I also find very handy. You can also look at the raw combat data (much like in WWS) but up to this point I have only been able to figure out how to look at the raw data a few seconds up to a raid member's death, although I'm sure that is all we will ever really need out of the raw data.

I took the liberty of creating a page for our guild on their website and I am currently managing the reports and the members. In order to join the guild on the website you must register for an account on the World of Logs home page.

On the following page you will need to enter a user name, password and an e-mail. Within a few minutes you should receive a confirmation number to activate your account. The next step would be to apply to join the guild. In order to do this you must first log in on the front page and on the right hand side you must click "join an existing guild".

On the next page there will be explanations on how to do several things. You need not worry about any of them. All you need to do is click on the "realms list" link.

On the next page you will need to find and select our realm.

After selecting our realm you will need to click on our guild. They are alphabetized so it should be fairly easy for you to find it.

After clicking on the guild's link you will be brought to our page where the logs are shown on a calendar. Each log that is uploaded will be named after the zone the information was collected in and will be shown on the date it was uploaded. In order to join the guild you must click the "Join this guild" link to the right of the guild and realm name above the calendar.

On the following page you will be asked to type in a message. Assuming you haven't created an account with your character's name in game this would be the place that you could enter your character's information so I know who you are and can accept your application. Once this is done you will officially have your account associated with our guild's page. Once part of the guild you can log in normally and a link to our guild's page will be on the top of the website, seen here.

Hope this guide helps. Let me know if you have any other questions about how to join then site/guild or if you have questions about how to interpret anything in the data.

Yes the information is fairly easy to find. You can search through boss fights much like you do on WWS only I feel this gives you a more user-friendly/easier way to find and interpret the data you're looking for. You visual learners will love the pie charts and interactive graphs!!

I feel that the time based data is very valueable for high end compairison, you can look at multiple people at once on a boss see where people ramped up dps/hps based on adds or whatever differnt phases whatnot. It doesnt handle the same way as wws but i feel its more a learning curve issue than a legitimate problem with the application. I am just so used to wws that I can use it more quickly in many cases.

It is VERY interesting to see spikes of healing over time from differnt bosses directly compaired to see which are front heavy and which are sustained fights.

The real time posts are useful to me as i can map healing over time and figure out right away if i will need to adjsut for more regen or sp. also by looking at what class is toping meters aginst a timeline i can see if i have to shift healing strategies during a fight to come to an optimal level. its certantly neat.

^ This. Very well said Sack. I suggest all of you create an account on the website, join the guild's report page, and do what Sack is explaining here. It really does help you on boss fights where you need to adjust your strategy a little bit in order to be that much better at whatever it is you're trying to do.
